My coworker took her car to BMI and to be repaired and was charged $1000. She left the lot and car quit again for the same reason that she took it to be repaired for. Now her car is back at BMI and they are charging her an additional fee for something that should have already been fixed.....

I am very sorry your coworker had a bad experience. Car problems can be a headache at times. In the case of your coworkers car, it ran hot for so long that the car shut off on its own which is never something you want to see. In times like that it is very common for cooling related issues to arise on another cooling related part after a repair has been made. The cooling system is very big and spans from the very front of the car all the way to the inside of the car underneath the dash. When a car is over heated like that it makes other cooling related components brittle and easily breakable which is why it is common for there to be a problem soon after a repair has been made. The cooling system builds pressure and after a leak has been fixed and the system builds pressure again a leak from another component can happen. It does't happen all of the time but it is definitely frustrating when it does. I do wish problems like that can be caught before they happen but unfortunately most of the time they can't unless you throw every part at the problem which is never a good idea, because you would end up replacing things you may not need to replace. Customer satisfaction and the relationship we develop with our customers is very important to us so we do not like to see dissatisfied people leaving our shop. I am very sorry your coworker had a bad experience which is why we went to the car lot she bought the car from and talked them into paying for her repair.

Very honest mechanics I wouldn’t go anywhere else but BMI! As a female, I am always fearful of getting taken advantage of when it comes to getting work done on my car but I have no fears with this locally owned business. Brian Massey always shows me exactly what is wrong with my car and does a full inspection to make sure fluid levels are good, tire pressure, etc.

I just wanted to take the time to make people aware of the phenomenal place that BMI (formerly Brian Massey Imports) is for both automobile sales and service. Their honesty and desire to take care of their customers is the best I have seen in the 13 years living in the Memphis area. From my purchasing of a Honda Accord from them while still under the original name, to the multiple service interactions that occurred in regards to my Honda and Infiniti, their striving to take care of customers is top-notch. Both Eric Shelton and his main technician Johnny, strive to perform 1^st class service while not inflating the bills with services not required. I am providing a short story to emphasize their honesty and integrity. My Infiniti, which had been repaired five years previously by an auto repair business, was displaying fading on the hood and quarter panels. I ask Eric to give me a quote on repainting these items. While he provided the quote, we discussed where I had the car originally repaired. He instantly recognized the name and mentioned; “that while he would love to provide the work” that this repair facility was known for backing its warranties even though it had been five years. I followed up with his recommendation and to my surprise the entire repair was completed under their warranty. I relate this story to display the honesty you can expect when dealing with BMI. Eric saved me a few thousand dollars, and he did this because they believe in taking care of their customers for the long term. Went with my son to shop for cars. This was our first time to visit BMI Memphis. Worked with John and Anthony. Wonderful service with no pressure. Got a great car for a good price. They made everything easy and smooth. Would definitely recommend them to anyone hunting for a good used car. Far superior to every other place we visited.
